Monica & Gabe's Blue Mountain Vineyard Wedding
By: Heidi E. Reuter Photography
Monica and Gabe’s fall wedding at Blue Mountain Vineyard was relaxed, genuine, and full of familiar faces. The hills, vines, and soft evening light gave the whole day an easy, natural feel that suited them perfectly.
This wedding held a great deal of significance for me. I first met Monica when she was a little girl at her birthday art party, and since then, I have photographed her graduation, family portraits, and her brother’s milestones. Each session felt like adding another chapter to the same family story, so being there on her wedding day felt incredibly personal. The first time I met Gabe was during Monica‘s drive-by graduation party during Covid. It was from afar, but I got to capture the excitement of the two lovebirds seeing each other. Ahh, young love.
Photographing the wedding came with an extra layer of emotion, and I definitely had a few moments where I got teary-eyed behind the camera.
The details of the day felt thoughtful and personal. Monica’s bouquet from The Rustic Bunch was a beautiful mix of seasonal texture and soft, romantic blooms that fit the vineyard setting. My favorite detail was the ginkgo leaves tucked into her bouquet, a quiet tribute to her parents that carried a lot of meaning.
Throughout the space, the decor felt warm, with nods to their love for the outdoors. Just Breathe handled the day of coordination, which kept everything running smoothly and let the two of them stay present with their guests instead of worrying about the timeline.
For me, this wedding was not just a date on the calendar. It was the kind of full-circle moment that reminds me why I love what I do. I have watched this family grow for years, and getting to photograph Monica and Gabe’s wedding felt like a true honor.
