BEYOND THE LENS : A photojournalism experience : Reading, PA

Doc sessions have become some of my favorite moments to capture. I was excited to be welcomed into the home of one of my favorite families and one the biggest fans of my Beyond The Lens sessions. They had just returned from a camping trip that afternoon and were switching gears to get the two oldest college-ready. I snuck over to the corner and started documenting the laughs and conversations as they made homemade pizza, and fresh lime fizzy water. While the pizza baked they gathered around the table and played a board game. Their competitive sides came out as they strategized! As they ate their pizza, I photographed little touches around the house. I loved the cell phones lined up in a different room, the piles by the door of college supplies ready to go in the morning, family photos on the wall, and special vignettes throughout the home. I was so happy to document these special, of this funny, kind, loving family.
